Main philosophy is that pressure wants to be equal inside and outside. If there is a leak pressure will change. We control change of pressure.

Main philosophy is that tracer gas, helium leaves the enclosure the test object. We collect this in a box and we count the number of helium leaked

Ambient Helium Testing

Tests performed in ambient pressure

  • leak rate is lower than pressure testing but higher than vacuum helium testing
  • leak rates are around 1*10-4 or -5 mbarl/s
  • Testing is not affected by humidity, temperature or pollution

Vacuum Helium Testing

Tests performed in Vacuum Atmosphere

  • Best capable, most precise equipment in the world.
  • The cycle time is shortest. Least effected by the background leak rates are around 1*10-10 or -12 mbarl/s
